Brian and I Agree!!!
3. The West Wing – I loved this show and would like to get the DVD sometime when Gene is gone and just enjoy…
4. Studio 60 – Loved this one – Are they bringing it back? Funny, moving, intelligent, interesting. According to Wikipedia, they are rumored to be bringing it back.
Cops and Robbers
5. NYPD Blue – my all time favorite
6. Homicide: Life on the Street – Great series – I liked the characterizations
7. The Closer – Isn’t she funny? and Sharp!
8. Criminal Minds – I love this team and the serious treatment of the serious subjects. All the characters are believable in their parts, but my favorite is Thomas Gibson as Aaron Hotchner – I don’t know why. And isn’t this a great part for Mandy Patinkin? Aside from being the male lead in my well-loved Yentl, he has a great singing voice – we saw him on Broadway as George in “Sunday in the Park with George.”
9. Thief – Never even heard of this one – based on all the above, it sounds like I would like it.
I would add a huge vote for Law and Order – Criminal Intent – Just for D’Onofrio, who has long been my favorite character actor – although I’m afraid that he is doesn’t look well (he’s only 48 and, according to Wikipedia, he collapsed 2 times in 2004 and “completely lost it” upon hearing that George Bush had taken the election.) I’m worried about him. I debated whether to put this under Lawyers because of the title, but decided it was far more Cops and Robbers
I have never seen 10, 11, 12 under this heading.
The Lawyers
13. Law and Order – How long has it been around? And still very good. Sam Waterston has grown old while playing this part.
And the Docs
15. ER
17. House – I really like House – I find the main character to be deliciously irreverent, always leaving us wondering…
